How to run Debug mode
make a shortcut of the runuo icon on your desktop.
Then right click that shortcut, go to properties.
About half way down theres a text box that says Target: and has the path of your server probably something like "C:\Program Files \RunUO\RunUO.exe" at the very end of that line, add this -debug so it would look like: "C:\Program Files \RunUO\RunUO.exe" -debug Then if/when it crashes you will get a detailed report and it will help pinpoint the problem script(s)http://www.runuo.com/community/threads/how-to-run-your-server-in-debug.70062/
3 ways, debug from inside visual studio. Use visual studio's attach debugger and attach to the running server, or add Console.WriteLine's to the scripts to output variables to the console.
How to run the server in debug mode on all Windows operating systems without the need for using command prompt (directly);
Create a new text file and name it "RunUO_Debug.bat" - make sure the file extension is ".bat" and not ".txt".
Right click and EDIT the batch file, it should open in notepad.
All you have to do now is add one line;
(RunUO.exe may be under another name, like "Server.exe", but you should know this now)
Save the new batch file and close Notepad.
MOVE the batch file to the same folder as RunUO.exe.
Now whenever you need to run your server in debug mode, simply double-click the "RunUO_Debug.bat" file and it will load RunUO in debug mode.
Batch files (*.bat) are a nice quick way to interact with DoS Command Prompt without having to load an instance of Command every time you need to use it.
